Due to our first meeting at Eversley park on the 4th of October being such a success, we are happy to announce that the first Sherburn Craft and Food Festival will be taking place next year.
The meeting was set up in order to generate some support from the village, and due to the excellent number of people that attended and have confirmed they wish to get involved, the event now has great potential to run and become a fantastic annual event.
The idea of the event came from the very popular Cawood Craft Fayre, which unfortunately reached it’s last year in 2016. Sherburn will adopt the idea, and create a 3 day event over August Bank holiday 2017, including craft stalls, food stalls, games, activities, shows, entertainment, competitions and much more.
The event still needs help from residents and businesses of Sherburn, so meetings will take place running up to the event to help make it as big as a success as possible. Everyone is welcome to the meetings, and to get involved in the organising and running of the festival.
The next meeting will be again at Eversley Park Centre, at 7.30pm on Tuesday the 8th of November. We welcome everyone to attend and join us in make this event a memorable one. Don’t worry if you haven’t attend any previous meetings, new faces are always welcome so just simply turn up. If you think you can help out in anyway with the event, we would love to see you.
