Coronavirus Support in Sherburn in Elmet

With the outbreak of Coronavirus (COVID – 19) many people may be struggling to access everyday essential items such as food, medicines and hygiene products.

Many elderly people, disabled people and people with underlying health conditions are being advised to take extra precautions.

There are a number of local support groups and community groups including groups set up on Facebook who are offering assistance to those that need it.

One group recently created on Facebook called Sherburn in Elmet – Isolation Help has recently formed to help source and distribute to supplies to the most vulnerable people in our community.

They are asking for donations of items such as:

Toilet rolls
Veg
Tinned food
Bread
Milk
Shampoo
Conditioner
Soap
Toothbrushes
Toothpaste
Pot noodles
Pasta
Teabags
Sugar
Coffee

They are asking that if anyone can help in any way possible, for them to get in touch with the Facebook group admin, Kerry Wharmby and Susie Melrose. They are also asking that if you are vulnerable or elderly that you get in touch with them to request support. Please take a look and join the group.
