2019 has been another eventful year for the Fairburn Singers. April saw them collaborating with Castleford Choral Society in the wonderful setting of Selby Abbey. A packed audience enjoyed individual offerings from the 2 choirs and then they came together for a performance of John Rutter’s ‘Feel The Spirit’ – it really did lift the spirits of all who were there.
They also Swung into Summer alongside the Doncaster Youth Swing Orchestra in St Giles’ Church, Pontefract at the end of June. The night was a huge success and the talent and commitment of the young musicians was very much appreciated. Then they went on their 3rd Cruise Choir Trip, leaving from Dover, they sailed down the River Seine to Rouen and back to Honfleur aboard the fabulous Boudicca. If you would like to join them in the future, or see a report of the cruise, visit the website www.fairburnsingers.co.uk. As usual, they performed 2 concerts on board to a packed Neptune Lounge. It never fails to thrill them all.
It’s coming up to The Most Wonderful Time of the Year, as the Fairburn Singers are already well into rehearsals for their Christmas programme. You will be able to hear some old favourites together with some new favourites.
Forthcoming performances:
