Selby District Council is inviting public feedback on more than 40 new sites put forward for potential development or change of use for its Local Plan development document. The majority of the 44 new locations have been suggested for housing development but could also be used for employment, education or leisure use.
The sites have not been submitted as planning applications. They are speculative suggestions by landowners and agents in answer to the call we made to identify new sites for potential development that could be included in the district’s Local Plan. This consultation ensures that these additional sites are subject to the same level of scrutiny as the sites consulted on earlier this year.
The Local Plan is a formal planning document that sets out future development in the district, drawn up in consultation with the community.

This consultation runs until 13 September. The deadline for submitting new sites has passed and the Council are not seeking new sites for submission.
