The Osgoldcross & Elmet Rotary Club & the Friends of Sherburn High School (FOSH) held a fundraiser last week in which they raised £632.00 to put towards the refurbishment of the Sherburn High school hall. They had an Accessorize Evening at Dintingdales restaurants where guests paid £20 for their ticket, a 2-course meal, a fashion demonstration (modelled by SHS students) and an opportunity to shop. There were over 60 people in attendance – an excellent turn out for such a small event, all of whom thoroughly enjoyed the evening. As well as the brand Accessorize in attendance few local businesses also came to supply their products and services, such as Split Second a Sherburn based salon and beauty parlour and an independent hat manufacture and 2 ladies who were giving massage taster sessions. All monies have been handed to the school to help with their refurbishment projects, to help sustain and better the facilities.
