  • Saturday 6 May: Women’s Fellowship Coffee Morning (Sherburn Church Hall) for Fellowship funds.
  • Sunday 7 May: the Bishop of Selby is taking part in the 45-mile Great Selby Bike Ride. Donations to be split between the Christian organisation, The Farming Community Network, and this year’s Selby District Lions Club’s chosen charities.
  • Sunday 21 May (Rogation Sunday), 2.30pm: annual service at St Mary’s, Lead.
  • Sunday 28 May: next Café Church in Sherburn Church Hall (Spring Bank Holiday weekend).
  • Sherburn Church-Sitting: more sitters always needed please – Brenda Thornton, roger.thornton2@btopenworld.com or 01977 684168. Please help us to keep the church open as much as possible during daylight hours.

Bishop John will once again be participating in the Great Selby Bike Ride on Sunday 7 May, a 45-mile route.  This year’s donations will be split 50/50 between The Farming Community Network (Christian organisation set up in 1995 to offer pastoral support and practical help to farmers) and the Selby District Lions Club chosen charities (Martin House Hospice, St Leonard’s Hospice, the British Heart Foundation, Action for Children and the Selby Lions local charities).
