As the year draws to a close, the Fairburn Singers are reflecting on another busy year for the Choir. They thoroughly enjoyed their concert at St Giles’ Church in Pontefract with their guests Vivat, a mixed-voice choir from Riga. They first met Vivat in Latvia and were delighted to sing with them in Yorkshire. (photograph available on www.fairburnsingers.co.uk on the Events page).
The next concert was held in Selby Abbey alongside Wakefield Orchestral Wind (WOW). This was
their first collaboration with a wind orchestra, and brought together singers and musicians to great

On Friday 3 November, a Fashion Show and Sale was staged in The Community Centre at Fairburn.
Hosted by Janet (the Fairburn Singers Chair) and modelled by members of the Choir, it was an outstanding success and raised over £900 for Charity (see website for photos and details).
the Fairburn Singers final concert of 2023 is again in The Fairburn Community Centre, on 18 December at 7.30 pm. Always well-attended, this will be a rousing end to our concert year. Presentations of cheques to
both their chosen charities for this year will be made on the night
