Operation Decrease Meeting 12th March

Operation Decrease is a North Yorkshire Police initiative set up to tackle the increase in domestic 2 in 1 burglary in Sherburn and surrounding villages in recent months.

We had a public meeting on the 12th of December 2023 to discuss what steps North Yorkshire Police were taking to tackle this problem and to reassure residents.

We are now happy to announce that we will be holding a further meeting on the 12th March 2024 between 1800hrs and 1900hrs. This meeting will take place at the Lady Popplewell Centre, Beechwood Glade, Sherburn, LS25 6HU.

The meeting will be to inform residents what impact Operation Decrease has had, what positive results we have achieved and if we have indeed managed to decrease the number of domestic burglaries. It will also be an opportunity for you to ask any other questions that you may have.

The last meeting was well attended but it would be great it if more members of the local community could attend and engage with the local safer neighbourhood team.
