The Methodist Church has recently updated their notices to include a new session called “Oasis.”
The Oasis session is an opportunity to take time out of your busy, noisy world and seek a safe and quiet place. It may be for a quiet reflection to pray, to light a candle or to talk to someone who will listen.
The session was named Oasis due to its definition which means, something serving as a refuge, relief, or pleasant change from what is usual, annoying, difficult, etc.
Oasis sessions are held every Tuesday from 13:30 to 15:00 and every Friday 13:30 – 15:30 – everyone is welcome to call in.
In addition, if you’d like more information, please call Howard Croft on 01977 682 919.
You can keep up to date with all of the Sherburn Methodist Church announcements and notices by visiting their page listing here.
In addition to their extra sessions, the Sherburn in Elmet Methodist Church is open every Sunday and the service starts at 10:45. The service is followed by coffee/tea and fellowship.
