The annual Sherburn Gala Disco took place on Sunday, December 17th, 2017. The Gala Association hosts two discos each year that are aimed at children and families, one for Halloween and one for Christmas.
The Christmas Disco proved to be a huge success. The children got to meet Santa Claus, who asked each child what they wanted for Christmas and gave them a present to take home. Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Gala Queen was unable to attend the Disco however, Santa’s Elves stopped by to assist Santa by ensuring the children were kept entertained.
The Disco was a fun event for the whole family, with many Christmas Songs being played throughout and the feedback received was overwhelmingly positive from those who attended.
The Sherburn Gala Disco also had fantastic support from local businesses donating over 20 prizes collectively for the raffle. The businesses that donated were:
