Grass Roots, Muddy Boots offers all learners regular opportunities to achieve, develop confidence and self-esteem through hands on learning experiences in a local woodland or natural environment with trees. Forest schooling is a specialist approach that sits wishing and compliments the wider context of outdoor and woodland learning.
What they do:
– After school clubs for children of all ages.
– Curriculum-time sessions as enrichment.
– Holiday club sessions.
– Home school group sessions.
– Team building sessions for young people and adults.
If you are a parent that would like your child to take part as an individual, they can arrange for you to join a group or if you have a group already they can run sessions just for you.
The course is made up of six sessions, usually once a week. Activities include: knots and shelters, traditional bushcraft skills, safe use of tools, building and cooking on a fire.
