Sherburn High A-Level Results 2019

Sherburn High Post 16 students are celebrating today with 98% of students passing their course; over a third at A* – B and 72% at A* – C.

Particularly impressive results were achieved by the following students:

Gracie Coe – AAA – Newcastle University: Biomedical Sciences

James Burnell – AAB – Gap year before York University: Computer Science

Will Clague – A*BB – Liverpool University: Mathematics and Business Studies

George Hathaway – A*BB – Newcastle University: Mathematics

Daniel Plummer – A*BB – Newcastle University: Mathematics

Louis Lofthouse – ABBB – Liverpool University: Computer Science

Assistant Headteacher and Head of Sixth Form, Dan Kirby was really pleased with the results: “Our students have worked incredibly hard over the past 2 years and it’s fantastic to see them reap the rewards. I have no doubt they will go on to do great things at their chosen universities/ apprenticeships/ jobs – we’re exceptionally proud of all of them”

Headteacher, Miriam Oakley was also delighted with the results and “A levels are such an important milestone in a student’s life and employers and university really look at them closely.
