Built in the 18th Century as a traditional Country Inn, The Rockingham Arms is located on the site of one of the last complete medieval battlefields in Europe, which is famously known for hosting the bloodiest battle ever to be fought on English soil (Battle of Towton 1461).

The Battlefield Trail, that starts right on our doorstep, offers walkers and history buffs alike the chance to explore one of Yorkshire’s most notable landmarks at their own pace, with a conveniently placed pitstop to visit either before, or after the walk.

The Rockingham Arms Towton, they blend modern ideas with traditional values, offering a variety of regular customers and new, the ideal backdrop in which to relax over a bite to eat and drink. And they’re dog friendly too. 

Featuring a tasty, classic pub menu, that showcases a mix of traditional dishes, specials and Sunday lunches,(with options for vegetarians, vegans & dairy free diners, AND a huge focus on gluten free meals)
