The Library has altered the layout to create more space and a one-way system that should enable both their volunteers and customers to feel safe maintaining social distance.
You will be able to borrow books and audiobooks as always and make use of the computers and free Wi-Fi, although spaces will be limited. If you need any photocopying, scanning or printing, they ask that you please ask a volunteer and they will do it for you.
Some other services will not be available at the moment. They will not be able to offer all of the help and advice, group activities and access to council and other services previously provided but they will be looking to get completely back to normal as soon as they can.
If you still feel uncomfortable going into the Library, then why not take advantage of their Select and Collect service? Give the Library a call, tell them what you like to read, and they can select books for you and arrange a time when you can go and collect them from outside the door.
The Library also operates a Home Delivery Service for those who are unable to get to the Library. Contact the Library, and they will visit you to discuss your preferences and arrange for a volunteer to deliver them to you on a regular basis.
Visit their website to find out more information about how they have adapted their services and what services they are now offering. Here you will also find contact information and the opening times.
Sherburn Library would like to reassure people that any items already on loan have automatically been extended to 1st September, so there is no need to rush back to return.
They look forward to welcoming visitors back, and they would like to thank their volunteers for their continued support.
Keep checking their website or their Facebook page for more updates.
