The finalists have now been announced for the ‘100 Club Community Volunteer Awards’.
This year’s ‘100 Club’ Community Volunteer Awards recognises both individuals and groups who have helped the community in many ways during the COVID-19 pandemic.
There are three awards categories which are: Community Volunteer, Fundraiser, and Going the extra mile.
There are 16 finalists all voted for by the local community. The finalists will all receive an award in recognition for what they have done to help our community.
One of the finalists will also receive the very special Myrtle Hall Memorial Award.
In addition to the above awards, there is hope to get a plaque of remembrance put up in the centre of Sherburn to thank all NHS and key workers who’ve supported and looked after the people of Sherburn throughout the pandemic.
Due to the ongoing COVID – 19 situation, Councillor David Brook is looking to present the awards in small groups or virtually.
