Sherburn in Elmet Community Association, who started Sherburn in Bloom, celebrates their 10 year anniversary this year.
First, starting with a flower bed outside Boots, then some tubs on Finkle Hill and in the village centre, the group has now expanded and maintain over 13 tubs and 6 flower beds. The new bed on Finkle Hill was designed in collaboration with Sherburn and Villages U3A group and celebrates the Sherburn in Bloom’s 10th anniversary. Selby District Council kindly offered to provide some new planters, which the group filled with yellow and blue plants, to support the U3A’s promotional day on the 2nd of June.
Sherburn in Bloom are always looking for new members to join and help with their efforts to plant and maintain new plants across all areas of the village.
