Chairman’s concert to raise funds for his chosen charities

Selby District Council’s chairman is holding a special concert at Selby Abbey to raise money for charity.

The Proms Concert, at 7pm on Saturday 20 November, will feature the Yorkshire Volunteers Band and Riccall Community Choir.

Chairman Cllr John Duggan is organising the event to raise money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association, St Leonard’s Hospice and the Friends of Selby War Memorial Hospital.

He explained, “This is set to be a fantastic evening of entertainment and will raise vital funds for my chosen charities.

“The work these charities do and the support they provide is amazing and I hope a lot of people will come along to this concert to help us raise much needed funds for these charities.”

Tickets are available from Selby Abbey, the Selby Times office or online at www.thelittleboxoffice.com/SelbyDCChairman. Tickets are £12.50. Money raised will be split equally between the charities.
