Regrettably, a further section of Coldhill Lane (aka Sir John’s Lane and Copley Lane) has been found defective. It was agreed at a meeting that 285 tonnes of defective material would need to be excavated and replaced as soon as possible.
The section that will be replaced is from the pond in a south easterly direction to a point just beyond the overhead National Grid power cables.
The dates for the works are:
22/11/2016 – Cold milling (Removing the defective material)
23/11/2016 – Surfacing
24/11/2016 – Lining
Highways have requested that the contractor’s erect information boards asap and contact the quarry and residents that live within the closure. Passenger Transport have been informed and the information on roadworks.org will be updated.
