2 Sherburn residents have applied for planning permission to turn their front room into a old fashion sweet shop. Mr & Mrs Ripley, who live on Finkle Hill opposite the Co-op are hoping to transform their home into a traditional sweet shop to be named ‘Sweet Finkle’. The property which is said to be a former barn, was transformed into 2 houses, now the residents want to transform it again into the sweet emporium – where they also want to provide customers with a live sweet production behind a screen.
The plans have been submitted and are currently in discussion, with hopes a decision will be made next month.
