The Yorkshire Learning Trust

Yorkshire Learning Trust

Yorkshire Learning Trust is a family of 17 primary and secondary schools serving communities across North Yorkshire and York. They work together to ensure every child and young person experiences an exceptional education, while preserving the unique character and identity of each school.

By combining local knowledge with the strength of a wider partnership, they support their schools to provide high-quality learning, inclusive opportunities and outstanding care for the young people and families they serve.

Vision

To create an inclusive multi-academy trust where every young person and every member of staff has the opportunity to flourish and realise their full potential.

Mission

To enable each of our schools to thrive as part of a strong and collaborative family of schools, providing high-quality education, fostering belonging and inclusion, and ensuring every child has the opportunity to succeed.

Through collaboration, shared expertise and mutual support, they seek to achieve the very best outcomes for their young people while creating rewarding opportunities for their staff.

Values

Their work is guided by four core values:

  • Aspiration – encouraging every young person and colleague to achieve their very best.
  • Inclusion – ensuring everyone feels valued, respected and able to belong.
  • Collaboration – working together to achieve more than they could alone.
  • Integrity – acting with honesty, openness and a strong sense of moral purpose.

Together, these values help them create schools and communities where children, young people and adults can flourish.
