Al’s Tyre Shop, located in Sherburn in Elmet saved Christmas this week by aiding Santa and his sleigh during his festive route around the new housing estate.
Santa was grounded with a flat tyre on his sleigh during his route and as a result, Santa contacted the elves at Al’s Tyre Shop to see if they could lend a helping hand. Whilst the elves are very busy this Christmas sorting out presents for those who are on the nice list, they rushed to Santa’s aid to ensure he could continue to spread his festive cheer around Sherburn in Elmet.
The elves at Al’s Tyre Shop repaired Santa’s tyre free of charge, which was handy as Santa doesn’t carry cash, and quickly got him back on the road to ensure he could continue his round and meet the children who were eagerly waiting to meet him and his Reindeer, Rudolph.
Ann Hudson from the Elmet Lions said:
We are so grateful Al’s Tyre Shop had elves available to help Santa and his sleigh otherwise, we would have had some very unhappy children this Christmas.
Alan and Dean, owners of Al’s Tyre Shop confessed:
We are on the naughty list this year and by helping Santa we hope this means we can go back on the nice list!
After popping into Al’s Tyre Shop, it was noticed that all four tyres would need replacing eventually on the sleigh and they generously donated and fitted all new tyres plus a spare on Santa’s Sleigh to ensure there were no further delays with the Elmet Lion’s Christmas sleigh routes.
