Co-op launches a new-look and improved store

Co-op launched a new-look and improved store on Thursday 29 February to serve the community of Sherburn-In-Elmet, Leeds. 

The convenience retailer is relaunching the store on Finkle Hill, following a near eight week programme of works and improvements.

Opening between 06am-10pm daily, the new store includes a free ATM to provide access to cash in the community, in-store bakery, hot food, soft plastic recycling point, used batteries recycling point and a Costa Coffee Express machine.

Co-op’s online Click and Collect service, In-Post Lovkers, Rug Doctor rental and Amazon parcel collections will be included for added ease and convenience, alongside a focus on fresh, healthy products; meal ideas; everyday essentials; food-to-go; Fairtrade products, flowers, chilled beers and award-winning wines; ready meals, pizzas and, free-from; vegan and plant-based products – including Co-op’s exclusive vegan range, GRO.

In January, Co-op launched a significant new round of member prices within its Food business which saw a further 117 everyday low prices including, for the first time, branded goods. This followed the biggest ever investment in convenience pricing last year, where Member prices were introduced on 175 everyday essential products.
