Local care company, Motivation & Co Ltd have been celebrating this week as their company reaches its 20th anniversary. Motivation & Co, based in Church Fenton provides motivational therapists for the care sector. They have had an amazing 2 decades and have now become one of the UK’s fastest growing businesses within their sector. Zoe Everett, Sales and Operations Manager shared their journey with us:
So, what have we been up to the past 20 years?
Aside from spreading joy & laughter and creating amazing relationships with all our wonderful clients everywhere we go. We deliver the Motivation & Co. session throughout the Care Sector, from Care Homes, Residential Homes, Nursing and Dementia units to Learning disability care and Neurological units… and we absolutely LOVE IT!?!?!
Motivation & Co. UK LTD started in June 1998.Elaine Everett our founder started the company after visiting her Grandfather in care. A lot has changed in the Care Industry in the past 20 years and the Motivation & Co brand has grown organically over that time.
In the past 20 years we started from an office within Elaine’s home, and have since moved 5 times, as the business has grown.
This year alone we have said goodbye to our longest standing member of our office team of over 18 years as she moved on to pastures new.
Celebrated one of our Motivational Therapists 10-year service with us.
We cover over 26 different postcode areas up and down the country.
With our Franchisee’s renewing their contracts time and time again.We started delivering training days for other members of the care sector community and created a fabulous hub of engagement and activity throughout the care sector. We work with our local communities and get involved with local visiting schemes, celebration days and volunteer our services throughout the community. This year we helped raise nearly £4,000 for the Alzheimer’s Society within the local community. (Please see pictures attached)
We’ve merged with our sister company VCA and now provide Visual Communication Aids for those in need.
We were approached by the NHS to develop their falls prevention programme, saving them over £78,000 in the first 10 weeks.
We have been fully researched by Leeds Metropolitan University to show the benefits and effects of the Motivation & Co. session.
Recently we were approached by Leeds Beckett University to work alongside them to introduce a new masters and undergraduate degree in Music and Wellbeing.
We have been nominated for many awards over the years, both national and regional and we won the Great British Care Innovator Award in 2017 and the Learning Disability and Autism awards finalists due to be drawn on the 29th June.
