North Yorkshire Council is asking residents to help shape a new all-age carers’ strategy aimed at ensuring unpaid carers feel recognised, valued and supported.

There are an estimated 54,000 unpaid carers across North Yorkshire, providing vital support to family members, friends and neighbours.

The draft strategy focuses on:
– Accessible support for carers
– Helping carers stay healthy and well
– Better identification and recognition of carers
– Personalised support based on individual needs

Whether you currently care for someone, have cared in the past, work with carers, or simply want to help shape future support, your views matter.

Consultation closes Sunday 27 September.
