Images in the media often portray older people as being frail, using walking aids, being in medical or care settings, losing independence and with wrinkly hands.
Help us challenge this perception!
We are looking to capture positive images of people ageing well across North Yorkshire through a new photography competition.
There is also a chance to win cash prizes!
£100 = 1st prize, £75 = 2nd prize and £50 = 3rd prize.
Photographs entered should show people ‘ageing well’ taking part in a range of day-to-day activities across North Yorkshire.
We also welcome images showing a range of ages and representing different characteristics including gender, race and ethnicity, religion, disability, sexual orientation, geography and more.
