Road Works Start 5th August

North Yorkshire County Council will be carrying out road maintenance on Milford Road, Low Street and Finkle Hill throughout August. The road works are part of a programme of works across Selby, which include parts of Barlby Road, Bawtry Road, Milford Road, Low Street and Finkle Hill.

Work on Milford Road and Low Street to the junction with Aldi will take place between the hours of 7.30am and 6pm on 5th to 9th August. Traffic travelling north will be allowed through the site. Traffic heading south will be diverted via Sherburn bypass.

The section from Aldi to the Finkle Hill will be done from 7th to 9th August over night between 6pm and 2am.

The North Yorkshire County Council have stated that they are aware of the inconvenience and disturbance this may cause residents but they are working hard to avoid road closures or temporary traffic management during the daytime.

Cllr Mackenzie said: “We apologise for any disruption and ask for people’s co-operation to help to ensure the work is carried out safely and efficiently.”
