Local Film and TV Company Runestone Pictures are bringing Charles Dickens and his “Christmas Carol” to Sherburn-in-Elmet
Sherburn-in-Elmet: September 12th 2017 Yorkshire based RUNESTONE PICTURES are filming some scenes from their upcoming TV Drama “A Christmas Carol” in the church and grounds of “All Saints Church” Sherburn-in-Elmet.
Director Diana Brooks said “We have had some amazing locations all over Yorkshire for filming, but we really wanted to come to Sherburn and use this beautiful church, I have performed plays here, and knew that it would be the perfect spot for some of our scenes.”
Runestone Pictures is headed up by Diana Brooks, and volunteer Producers, Professional actors Nance Turner, Christopher Harman and Gareth Brook, who all bring with them a wealth of differing experience to the company, Diana says about her team “ They are all so wonderful, the knowledge and help given is completely free, we don’t get paid to do this, we do it for love and getting Northern filmmaking out there”
They are currently looking for people to be extras (unpaid, but will be fed and watered) in these particular scenes, so if you fancy getting dressed up (if you have a victorian costume, that would be great) and spending a day on a filmset, please message Gareth Brook at gareth.brook@runestonepictures.com
Runestone have been filming this classic tale for the last few months, up and down Yorkshire, and hope to release it next year.
