Sherburn High School GCSE Results 2019

Record Results!

Building on last week’s excellent A level results, we are delighted by our students’ record results – which see an increase in English, Maths and Science as well as many other subjects!

4+ in English = 82%, 4+ in Maths = 84%, 5+ in English = 64% and 5+ in Maths = 69%.

We are incredibly proud of all our students and teachers who worked relentlessly to achieve these outstanding results.

Miriam Oakley, Head Teacher, praised students and staff for their commitment and hard work, “We are so proud of our students – they have worked extremely hard, and it has certainly paid off! A huge thanks goes to the staff, parents and carers who have supported the students throughout the year. Well done to all, and I look forward to welcoming more students than ever back to our Sixth Form to study their A Levels”

Dan Kirby, Assistant Head Teacher and Head of Sixth Form was delighted that so many of our students have made Sherburn High their first choice for Post 16 education, commenting, “There was a real buzz today about enrolling into the Sixth Form. The numbers are looking fantastic and I can’t wait to start working with all of our new Year 12 students in September. What a fantastic Sixth Form we will have!”
