Sherburn Gala Association/Committee hold the annual Gala in Sherburn-in-Elmet in May each year and also hold various other events throughout the year, including Halloween and Christmas parties. The association aims to improve the community of Sherburn, for example, all profits made from the Gala go towards the maintenance of the village Christmas lights. The Gala Association is currently working with children from Sherburn High School to help improve the community using their helpful suggestions and volunteers to make Sherburn a better place.
